About Laura

A Lifelong Passion

Having ridden since the age of six, Laura followed in her mum's footsteps to begin her endurance career at the age of 11. From her first competition she was hooked.

She enjoys the freedom of riding over miles of open countryside whilst developing a unique bond and understanding between horse and rider that is crucial to being successful in this sport.

She shared her first pony, Jaluar, with her brother James. Together they saved up their pocket money to buy him. A handsome 13.2hh New Forest pony he was both hugely talented and great fun. Laura credits him with teaching her truly how to ride, he was definitely not a novice ride. He competed successfully in both endurance and showjumping disciplines.

Laura has since competed at young rider level where she first began her FEI career. She now competes at senior level and has the ambition to represent team GBR.
